The DPCR through the Salaam Police Center in coordination with PNP Chaplain Service (CHS), PRO BAR, NCRPO, various Muslim NGOs, and Salaam Youth Organizations has initiated the 3-day celebration of Eid al-Adha 2021 (Feast of Sacrifice) from July 20-23, 2021, held in different Muslim communities in the country. Among the highlights of the celebration is the presence of Chief, PNP, PGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR, who personally joined and spearheaded the activities in PRO BAR, NCRPO, and Qurban (Beef) Distribution Program in Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.

Traditionally, Eid Al Adha is celebrated with early morning prayer (Salatul Eid), slaughtering of animals (Qurban), and family get together. Qurban is an arabic term derived from the word qarruba meaning "to get closer", that is why meat giving/sharing is a tradition Muslims don’t miss during the celebration of Eid al-Adha to please Allah.
